Urban Decay Exhibit in D.C.

Jesse Smith will be attending and painting live at the 3rd Annual Urban Decay Exhibit taking place June 1-3rd.

Urban Decay III is dedicated to low brow and contemporary art and music where new and accomplished artists are showcased. There will also be a specail focus on Urban Vinyl Toys.

Jesse Smith Comic Cover up for Auction Held TODAY!!

So, Jesse will be contributing a unique Deadpool™ comicbook cover to an auction held for his friend and mentor, Kerry Talbott who is currently battling cancer. It’s being held today, Monday April 30^th, at Ghostprint Gallery starting at 7:00 PM
The auction will be curated by Velocity Comics and held at Ghostprint Gallery. Jesse snagged a blank Deadpool™ comic and worked his magic giving you what you see above. If you’re interested in snatching up the comic just click here to be sent to where you can put down your bid.

For those interested in a little more insight into what this auction is all about, Jesse studied under Kerry Talbott back when he was a student at VCU’s Communication Arts Department. Kerry is going through some rough financial and medical times and, ordinarily, would be in a rather tight spot. However, as shown in a recent article by the Richmond Times Dispatch, one of the awesome things about Richmond is the deep interconnectivity in the art community, which leads us to the Auction.

A lot of local, veteran and well known artists are contributing pieces to the auction including Sterling Hundley, James Callahan, Ed Trask, Josh George, Tin Salamunic, Robert Meganck, Noah Scalin and our very own Jesse Smith (see the image above). So everyone come on out, have a little fun, check out some fantastic art, support our art community and help support Kerry by putting down a bid on Jesse’s piece!!
